I'll probably use ufw just to get things up and running since that's what comes out of the box, er, ISO in Ubuntu. I remember seeing mention of shorewall in flurdy.com's tutorial on how to set up virtual mail servers, though, so thanks for reminding me - I might give it a look. I'm not above changing programs - I've already moved bind9 aside in favor of dnsmasq, even though I had my zone files already set up. Dnsmasq seems more suited to the kind of micro-network I have going on here.
